Miss Iqbal, Year 2 teacher and PSHE Lead
"Ark Tindal is an exciting place to work! I started here as an NQT two years ago and I have enjoyed this time getting to know the children and the staff. The children are a pleasure to teach!
I feel lucky to be part of a supportive and welcoming team and the ‘Team Tindal’ spirit is something that is often mentioned by visitors. There are always opportunities to develop our teaching through weekly CPD, coaching, co-planning, network training and external training. There is also plenty of support from subject leads to help with planning and assessment.
As a subject lead myself, I also get lots of opportunities to develop my leadership skills. I have been supported to develop a PSHE curriculum and have also recieved training in coaching and co-planning to make sure this curriculum is successfully implemented."
Miss Liaqat, Year 3 teacher and RE Lead
"I started as an NQT at Ark Tindal last year and have been well-supported to develop as a teacher. Everyone is there to help each other, and because it’s a two-form entry school with a three-teacher model, there’s always someone there to support you and guide you. Teachers have access to regular coaching sessions, weekly CPD, co-planning and subject specific training to help develop their teaching practice. Ark Tindal fosters a culture of teamwork where everyone works hard, and is doing their best for the children. It’s a pleasure teaching the children at Ark Tindal because they are curious and have a thirst for knowledge. Children’s achievements and hard work are celebrated every day and it feels great to be a part of it!"
