We are excited to announce that our school's commitment to PE has been recognised with a Silver School Games Mark!
This means that we have evidenced that physical education and school sports are an important and established part of our curriculum and after-school club programme, including showing that we are meeting the Government's recommended 2 hours of physical education in schools each week.
In order to qualify, schools have to evidence how many competitions we've taken part in as a school, which sports festivals we have attended and that we have invited external visitors into school to enhance our PE curriculum; in our case, we have been delighted to include information about our visits this year from Elmhurst Ballet School and Warwickshire County Cricket, amongst others!
Our aim is now to earn a Gold award and to do so, we will be looking to increase our involvement with competitions at secondary schools, to help our older year groups with transitioning into Key Stage 3 after leaving primary school.
Thank you to all staff at Ark Tindal who have been involved in driving this programme forward, and especially to Miss Bunney!
