At the end of the Autumn Term, as part of our work with Citizens UK, a group of parent leaders met with Councillor Shehla Moledina to discuss the cost of living, housing, jobs, and parking. She committed to working with us, including helping to organise a jobs fair, running advice surgeries in the school, and finding money to address parking and traffic and pickup times. She will also be coming back in the New Year to meet with a group of the children to discuss their priorities.
These are all great first steps in addressing these issues and starting to build an accountable relationship between our local politicians and our school community. Thank you to all the parents and staff who helped make this happen. If you are interested in being involved in the future, please get in touch with Tom Snape, who will continue to work with us in the new year.
