At Ark Tindal we know the value of positive character traits - we even name our classes after them! In the final week of the Summer Term, Tindal was put to the test with an assessment of character development taking place within the school. We were delighted to welcome a team of assessors, including the Chief Exective Officer from the Association for Character Education (ACE) for a whole day visit. This comprised a pupil led tour of the school, meetings with staff, pupil groups and our Chair of Governors, and gave us the opportunity to show how much we value character education at Ark Tindal.
The ACE website notes: "Our mission is to enable you on your journey to put character and values at the heart of all that you do. Doing so will allow the children you serve to flourish, and transform the ethos and culture of your school or organisation."
We are delighted to announce that following an extremely positive visit, Ark Tindal has been awarded the Character Quality Mark Plus. The school will now become a character hub, supporting other schools with character development and contributing to research and resources for the Jubilee Centre for Character.
