Exciting future

We are part of the Ark network of 38 high-performing schools, including nearby Ark St Alban’s Academy - one of the city’s best secondary schools and sixth form centres.

Ark’s common vision is to enable every child to go to University or into their career of choice. Students from Ark schools are 3 times more likely to go to a top tier University.

This summer, local Ark St Alban’s Academy student Anisa Ahmed won a place at Birmingham University to study pharmacy after receiving two A grades and a B in her A Levels this summer. She is the first member of her family to go to university. Ark’s Realising Opportunities programme enabled her to visit a number of high-profile universities to help her understand their admissions process and make her choice of application. Anisa decided to stay nearby, hoping her studies will help her to be able to give back to the local communities she has grown up in.

Teaching

We invest heavily in our teaching.

Teaching 2

To be able to fulfill their future potential, it is so important to learn the fundamental skills and knowledge early. We make sure our student’s do not fall behind in their early years. At Ark Tindal, we take learning seriously and our results back this up.

In 2019, 77% of our students reached the expected standard in English and Maths – much higher than the Birmingham and national average. In the last two years, our Year 6 students have received results that place Ark Tindal in the top 3% of schools in the whole country.

Technology

Students are provided with the latest technology.

From this year, each student in Year 4, 5 and 6 will have their own dedicated tablet device and access the best learning software.

Develop pupils

We want to provide a world of experiences, challenges and opportunities.

We ensure your child receives a rich curriculum of music, drama, and sport, as well as ensuring they expand their horizons through many local enrichment activities.

Community

We hope you will join our primary school

Local parents and carers are at the heart of our school community – we hold weekly informal coffee mornings on a range of subjects relating to school life. Our families are invited to attend a range of events throughout the school year and we also run regular courses – including learning English as a second language.

We hope you are interested in joining the Ark Tindal community. We'd love to speak with you and hope you can book into one of our online information sessions below where you will be able to view our fantastic facilities, find out further information about our school and put your questions directly to the Headteacher.

In the meantime, please feel free to get in touch directly. We are happy to provide any help when you fill out the application for a school place in the Birmingham City Council school admission process.
