From September 2021, there will be a new statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Our Early Years Setting has chosen to be an Early Adopter, like many schools around the country. This means that we are following the new framework a year early, rather than waiting until September 2021. This will ensure that children in our Nursery are well prepared for the curriculum when it commences in Reception in 2020/21 and gives our current Reception children a fantastic opportunity to follow the new curriculum, which emphasises the importance of working in partnership with parents and/or carers, to promote the learning and development of all children in their care, and to ensure they are ready for year 1!

Daily Play Challenges

We were very sad to close our Nursery today! We will miss you all very much, luckily we will all still have time together before the end of term! We will be welcoming you back to school on Thursday 10th of December!

We have updated our weekly "chat, play, read" challenge below to keep you busy today and this weekend! I have also added links to some activities that will support you in revisiting some of our learning from this term so far!

Starting Monday, we will upload a daily play challenge for you to complete at home with your child. We will be sending out workpacks shortly for you to work through with your child during this time. You can also expect to hear from Miss Naz in the coming week!

We will look forward to seeing your work on EEXAT - please get in touch if you have not been able to create your account yet and need the details.

Curriculum Calendar and Key Dates!

Proud Cloud

Here is where we will be sharing some of the fantastic work you have been doing!

Safiyah has been exploring weight using some scales in our classroom! She used new vocabulary like "heavy"! Great work Safiyah!

Stay tuned for more proud cloud moments!

To share your child's work/proud moments, please sign into the EEXAT website using your credentials which were given to you at the start of the year.
