Helping our ladies to stay safe
We welcomed PCSO Whelan to the Academy this morning to deliver a talk to a number of our Mums and lady carers. PCSO Whelan spoke about the importance of keeping your belongings safe when out on the road and gave some really useful examples of what to do to safeguard your personal belongings, such as bags and phones. Using some brave volunteers from the audience, she showed everyone how to hold your bag in the safest way and talked about the importance of splitting up your belongings so if your bag is snatched you still have access to your phone and house keys, and the robber does not! PCSO Whelan also talked about some of the support agencies which are available to women, and passed on some useful contact details. Thank you to all of the ladies who attended and to PCSO Whelan for giving up her time this morning.
