Why work for us?
Why work at Ark Tindal Primary Academy?
Ark Tindal Primary Academy is at an exciting phase of its development, with a dedicated staff team committed to providing the best possible education for our pupils. We joined the Ark network in 2012 and were rated as 'good with outstanding features' in our last Ofsted inspection. We believe in every child's potential to succeed and foster a caring, nurturing environment where they can achieve this. By having high expectations of our pupils and believing they can achieve great results, they start believing it too and rise to meet those standards.
Training and development at Ark Tindal Primary Academy
We are committed to providing regular and comprehensive training and CPD to all our staff at Ark Tindal. In addition to hub days with the wider Ark network, we provide an array of opportunities specifically designed to meet the needs of our school and our teachers. From national qualifications such as NPQSL, to more bespoke training for your specialisms, Ark Tindal ensures all staff have the necessary training to be the best that they can be. Training doesn’t stop once you reach a certain level or learn a certain skill – we’ll support you throughout your whole career, from starting out as a trainee to running your own school.
Support at Ark Tindal Primary Academy
"Team Tindal" is a strong community and our staff see themselves as one big family. Everyone looks after each other and there are regular staff lunches and social activities for birthdays and special occasions. Celebrating success is a big part of life at Ark Tindal and there is a real culture of praise amongst staff.
Community at Ark Tindal Primary Academy
We place parents and carers at the heart of the school community. We hold regular courses and social events to benefit them such as English as a second language courses, IT literacy skills sessions and coffee mornings. For many of our parents, getting out of Birmingham can be difficult; last year we arranged a trip for the school choir to the Barbican and many of our parents came along.
More training days
In order to deliver the best training and network events, we offer twice as many training days as standard.
Three times a year, people working in specific roles or subject areas get together to share best practice and deepen their subject knowledge with peers from across the Ark network.
Ark online training
Our online, cloud-based learning platform supports your development - delivering exciting content straight to you, from exemplary teaching video clips to best practice resources.
Your school will develop and deliver its own training sessions which are responsive to need.
You’ll work with colleagues from different subjects, schools and cities, and have the chance to take on network-wide responsibilities such as leading programmes or training.
