School Trips

School trips are an important part of the children's learning and help them to gain a deeper understanding of the topics which they are studying.

Classes can expect to participate in one trip per term, but also regularly take part in trips to expore the local area, for example, to the nearby Library, to Ark St Albans Academy and for walk-abouts in the community.

In the 2016/17 Academic year, our pupils have enjoyed investigating Glittering Angle Saxon Gold at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, stormed Warwick Castle, explored the underwater world at the Birmingham Sea Life Centre, learnt about the rivers and the importance of water power at Sarehole Mill and gone back in time to the Tudor Era at Selly Manor Museum.  In July 2017 all pupils in the Academy will be taking a tour on the Big Brum Bus, learning about what it means to be "Proud to be a Brummie".
